Its pink!

Good price for one with 502 and shiny gel. Yea, as long as no soft spots or major tell tale damage signs when you look at it in person, i would say go for it. Engine looks very much stock and un-futtered with.

RASBERRY!!!! LOL...

And with the engine stock that's probably a good thing. What are the chances it needs all new manifolds, risers, ect. Whats the compression on a stock 502? And how do I even know it is a 502 and not a 454. I'm a little slow. :p
It looks like a great deal to me . I wonder why its still for sale after 2 months or more on CL. It should have near 150 even on the compression. Priced right if it all checks out. An exhaust uprade would be in order imo. Go look at it and take it for a nice long run with plenty of video to share haha.

Looks great DT - seeing the 2 covers complete and in that condition is hopefully a good sign.

Price is a great starting point to get into the bigger boat.

But you will have to pay big bucks for the 2 phat outboards you need to hang on the back..... ;)

Easiest way to tell what size engine is to google the block serial number that will be on left side of engine on flange between bell housing and cylinder head. 502 and 454 were different blocks always. Other way is on some if you look on the water jacket under the the exhaust manifolds there was the displacement cast in large letters. Should say 8.2 L if a 502 block. 7.4 is a 454. Compression numbers wont tell you size of engine. Biggest thing compression test tells you is if one cylinder is hurt or low. Static cranking compression cab vary on many many factors. Biggest thing is you want all cyls to measure within 10% of each other. The stock black engines were built to run over 1000 hours with no issues. Check for hour meter on dash or behind helm dash inside of cabin cupboard. They got hid in there sometimes. Mine is at least. Look for any signs of rust on manifolds that looks like a crusty leak trail. If plug tups are rusty, moisture in engine equals bad. Anyother questions ou have shoot me a pm or phone call.

Seriously? You already know what you wanna do. You're just looking for rubber stamps.
It's shweeet!!! It's very reasonably priced. It's PINK and has a cabin you can
sleep (Yeah,right) in.
You know it. We know it. You know that we know that you know it.:rof::cheers:
So seal the deal.
How's the wing?

Conditions everything. Look for telltale signs of water damage, ie rust or brown streaks near through hall items. See if you can pull a screw out off something low on the transom, water will drip out if it's wet. Check for play in steering as gimble repair can get $$. Your better to spend more $$ and get a nice boat than a cheap one and redo it. A carbed 502 is thirsty, getting something with efi is a investment worth every cent a will be more reliable with higher resale. If you have any questions, call me 😎

Going to have to change the bash banner next year to
The Checkmate Chesapink bash.:D

For that price if the motor checks out with out having a million hrs your getting a deal. Its really cheap compared to what I would ask and what others are selling for. Check the seats. The front bolsters are known to rot out and get loose. It has the bigger windsheild which is rare but missing the step on the port swim platform. The carpet looks a bit crushed and faded but for the money thats all nit pickey stuff that don't matter. I like that he keeps it jacked up and drive down. The pics look like it has a great shine still. I'd be running to check it out for the price.

Hey Keith- Isn't it past your bedtime "PinkBoy"?:rof:
I only ask cause I'm doing insomnia .
Yawn.
Gonna try going back to bed.
Droptop- You and Tasha would love that boat to death if the mota and wood are solid.
Whole new lifestyle. Moving into the next category of comfort. The wive's so totally dig it.
Trust me. Almost "been there done that". Still a foot or two short of that myself.
And if that's solid it's a steal.
Thought I had a deal like that myself. Misjudged and ended up tossing another 8 Grand
in - in the end still think it was worth it.
