wildman need some prop advise.when running last month with the guys from scream & fly I lost a blade on my prop. the prop was a ballistic 26p by 14-1/4" diameter. I believe these were made by michigan props. since you r the checkmate guru what prop can u recommend I try to better my performance or should I just get another ballistic? the best I've run with this prop is 81.5 on gps. my set up is a johnson v-8 slightly modded fingerports and heads shaved .040 motor sits on a land&sea jackplate 5.5" set back. boat is a 89' spectra 201. I run it plate raised all the way up and usually trim is all the way up depending on water conditions. I have tried Rakers 26p and was slower 200rpms less. currently using a renegade 25p as a loaner top speed is 71 and rpms are at 6000. can u recommend something better u can sell me? thanks for your time.
