hub discoloration on high five

ive heard that excessive aeration/cavitation can cause discoloration. as checkmerc says its from heat, the air gets hotter than water and discolors it.

at least thats what ive heard........
 
sounds like bad cavitation....air bubbles are boiling causing heat to discolor the prop....can be from hull design, prop, etc, just a combination that does not work together....I had a old crithfield that after some engine mods started the same thing with a std s/s prop...Rob
