ignition problem

i have a 25 ft convinsor with a 454..under a heavy load it seems to have a miss only after you run it for like 10 minutes.can you pull the factory ignition and distributor and put in a hei set up...

Sounds like a ignition coil to me.....check that out.....those usually start giving problems once things warm up.

Sounds like a coil also to me. I prefere a msd set up if I was going to change it.

I run a performance aftermarket HEI in my 251, works great and inexpensive....I do not like MSD stuff failure rate way to high now as they outsoure much of their componants from china...
