Johnson 225 vro

Hawthorn

New member
I recently bought a checkmate with a 87 johnson 225 vro, the previous owner removed the air silencer. What are the disadvantages of not having one, will it damage my motor running it with out one. Thanks

Well if the carbs aren t re calibrated right you're going to bun it down in the midrange, that motor had the cover with the baffle in it and is jetted for it
