First of all I'd like to say that I love this site and have learned a great deal from it. What would be a great addition would be a "tech article" or "how-to" section. This section could cover a lot of the basic maintenance/repairs that are frequently asked about. It could also document builds and mods that would be of interest to most of the members. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the feedback. I thought our tech section is partially what you're suggesting. I realize it's not in an article format, but there's a lot of info in there. The trick is to use the search feature to sort and find the specific topics you're looking for.
In a way, what makes our little site great is also what holds it back. We're totally driven by a small group of volunteers and also by our members who are our content. Also our site isn't profitable, nor is it ever likely to be. The tab is picked up by myself and partially offset by donations and a little advertising money we receive. Concequently, there isn't really anybody with the time to write proper articles nor the time prepare all the web pages that would need to be done.
But who knows, maybe one day I'll quit my day job and do this full time.

Chris, Just as soon as addgasgofast and I get together on this project boat there may be a few tech articles about that. But he should still be recovering from back surgury and I bumped my head. So it may be this fall.
Pelly, Check over the threads on this site there are several tech threads but you have to dig for them. A couple of places to start would be doing a search for posts by 175checkmate and jrs1958. They have some good threads going.

Like I say, there is LOTS of stuff around here. You just have to use the search function. Nobody seems to use it. When I go to Scream and I'm interested in something, that's the first thing I try. And it usually does the trick.
