leaky greasy hubs

I replaced the axle bearings and seals on my 84 load rite trailer last year. I still get grease on the inside of the trailer wheels and the side of the boat when I tow it to NH.(about 400 miles).
I use axil buddies for adding grease during the trip. I'm wondering if I pump too much grease in or should I replace the axle and hubs or does anybody think I can get away with replacing just the hubs.

too much grease in the hubs. if you are using bearing buddies, they are designed for 3psi pressure. so, when pumping full of grease, you should only see the inside of the hub start to move - then stop gresing. i think you have pumped them so full that the inside can't move any farther out. the end result is you've blown the seals. replace the seals and don't use as much grease.

The only reason I use bearing buddies is to have easy access to the grease fittings. Most of the time the springs do not push out right and you end up putting to much grease in. Take every thing back apart and clean the mess up. Hand pack your bearings and start off with 4 pumps with a grease gun. I always feel my hubs when I get to the lake and back home and if one feels warmer then the others I will add 2 pumps of grease. Your hubs should never feel hot just warm.

When I bought my boat the dummy had the hole brake drums full of grease that was the worse mess I have ever cleaned up.
