Leedo's 1989 Sportfire

Hey guys,
I am a new member and love the site! I just got a 1989 Checkmate Sportfire I/O with the 4.3 mercruiser in blue metalflake with silver. It is in incredible shape from the original owner. Does anyone know anything about these?? I haven't heard of them in any discussions. Any reason why the short life on them??

Extremely cool boat! You'll enjoy it. And if you blow up the 4.3, a 350 Mag will fit right in there

I put some new decals on it but they don't show up too well. That made a huge improvement. I have a 23" prop on it and it sure does take a bit to settle her down. Do you guys think it would have a lot better launch with a 19"??

Hey, I have the same color boat. 87 sportfire 135 mercury outboard 23pitch prop works fine.

Nice boat. I have a 1987 sportfire 4.3 omc. You don't see many sportfire inboards.
