lightest jackplate?

I was wondering who makes the lightest of all the jackplate manufacturers?
The reason why I ask is I need a lightweight, adjustable 6" jackplate for my 13'playmate gt with a 90 yam on the back. Currently I'm running comfortable @ 55 trying an array of different props.(59 on the edge). I have more trim and throttle to go but I'm still dragging the skeg too deep causing an uncomfortable wobble (chinewalker) I'm looking for tips and advice on what you smart guys think.
Right now I have a 24 series batt. behind the drivers seat, and a 12 gal fuel cell under the front deck. The tank is weight, but it is good weight that is needed for that perfect ballast. I don't have a problem with the handeling except for when I'm WOT and tryng to get trimmed out. The pad is in the water about 6-8" up from the transom right now and trying/using good bow and stern "lifting" props.
I'm in the market for a mid size gearcase prop that will fit the 90. I am looking for a 3-4 blade over the hub choppers and also different cleavers. I'm probabaly looking somewhere between 17and 20p props. Last sunday I ran a 13X19 black steel yamaha prop with hardly any cup and no ventalation holes. It was a great low end choppy water prop. I was spinning up to 6000 rpm I have no problem turning it up to 6200 but that is as far as I want to go. I have a yamaha analog tach that I have compared to with a digital and it's dead on.
Let me know Your Ideas, thoughts, worries,---questions, I know I can get 60 with the right setup. remember 13foot 90 2stroker roughly 500 lbs total.
thanks and I look forward to brainstorming with you.

You can get JP's in 3/8" aluminum for smaller motors. Quite light. Several makes out there. I don't know how those hulls are balanced but I would think 4" would be plenty. 5-6" is all you need on the 16' Mates. The amount of setback will be more critical than the actual weight of the plate.

HydroDynamics Simple Jack is the ticket for what you have described. I just got one delivered on Monday for my Canadian Edition HydroStream VooDoo. The 4" model is what I got. They even did a custom job for me because I wanted zero built in lift in the full down position. Or if you want one that is a little easier to adjust get the RapidJack from them. I'm not sure on the weight difference.

Give Debbie a call and describe what you want to do. If she doesn't know she'll get Chuck to help you. Great customer service!!

They will even get it powder coated the colour that you want, but powder coating is a few $$.
