Our long weekend north of the border is a week earlier than you US guy's so we're having fun already

Amazing weather so far, it's 78* here right now, got a good start this morning and left the house by 8:30.

already went through a 1/2 tank of gas today, weather is mint, no wind to speak of and just a few other boats out, went out by myself and seen 72 on the speedo, well gotta go burn some more gas before the lake fills up with boats tonight.

thanks all, here's one more, I know it's not gps but it's really close, normally at this hour I would be way too busy drinking around the fire to post this, just had a fire with the kids, hot dogs and marsh mellows and their in bed now, since I'm on the wagon and not drunk right now I think I'll take advantage of this and go for a cruise in the dark, crank the tunes and enjoy the nice night on the water. sorry if this is boring stuff, I gotta keep busy doing something.

Real nice John. I know the nice weather is short. Cousin lives in Wisconsin and has about 3 months of boating. You need to move here in N. Fl.

I guess I've been told!

My 2 year old always has to drive, I'm sure he'll be driving on his own in just a few years, he already steers the mate by himself but I have to help with the single cable on the toon.

Great pics John! We got out for a little yesterday, just a short ride to a little beach so the kids could play for a bit and then back home before it started to rain. Glad to see you're having a fun weekend.

Hurts me to read and see those pics! It is only 60 degrees here today in SD and of course the wind is blowing like crazy already. Hoping to head down the Might Missouri this afternoon in the jonboat and start looking for a new place to hang out this summer. All our sandbars are under water since the river is so high this year. Might have to do some raking and weed pulling this afternoon to make us a new beach.

That sucks, usually the weather is the other way around, always hot in SD when I'm there.

This is truly unbelievable weather for us for this time of year, and today is just as nice, no wind and high 70's, I don't ever remember a May long weekend this nice, hope you guy's get some good weather next weekend for yours.

here's a few pics from my after breakfast run, managed to sneak away when the kids weren't looking for a quick ride.

got the in laws boat in now too that we use for fishing, this the only reason I don't have a boat lift, there just ain't room for it.

got a little more out of it today but not much, the water was too flat.

it's cold, ice only droped a little over a week ago, I'll get a water temp off the pontoon next time out.

haha, if you look real close you can see a fishing rod.

The water temp is warmer than I thought, 65.8* thats the good thing about a shallow lake I guess, its been warm so it don't take long to warm it up, big lake but only about 18-19ft average depth.

Here's that pontoon speedo pic Nick, think it can take a Super boat? it used to do 28, maybe scum on the toons is slowing it down?

That was about the only boating I did today, spent all afternoon stocking up on wood for the fire pit, as soon as I was done working the t-storms rolled in and we got 35 mph winds now, forcast is 51* for tomarrow so I guess I'll load up and head home early, I can't complain about 3 out of 4 good days.

Got enough wood for a few fires anyway, found a guy that had it for $50 a load so I went and got 3 loads, anytime you guys wanna come sit by the fire your welcome to, it's only a 25 hr drive

Froze my nads off this morning go to the launch, only 39*

the merc was a little stiff this morning, a little steam coming off her

Atleast the wind was off shore so I didn't have to deal with waves swamping the Vibe, there was a guy that just loaded with a 2wd truck and got stuck, they were laughing at me when I went in with the car, with the AWD it's no problem.
