Has anyone ever removed oil injection because of no WOT. My motor will idle and troll at low speed all day, but will not throttle up at all. Switch box was changed, and I was advised by a mechanic to remove oil injection system. Have not been able to test her due to weather. Has anyone had this problem or heard of it.
Thanks Scully Wager

SCULLY WAGER, I DON'T THINK REMOVING THE OIL INJECTION WILL HAVE ANY THING TO DO WITH YOUR MOTOR NOT REACHING FULL RPM. SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY HAVE A FUEL STARVATION PROBLEM OR BAD STATOR. CHECK YOUR FUEL FILTER, PUMP AND WATER SEPARATOR FILTER IF YOU HAVE ONE. IF THOSE ARE GOOD HAVE THE STATOR CHECKED.

Thanx Pulsare, will take your advise. Stator was checked and said to be ok. Switch box was suppose to be bad, so it was changed. I had the same results after the switch box change, no top end. That was when I was told to remove oil injection, so I did. Mechanic told me that the oil injection system on this engine was knowen to be bad and had to be rebuilt ever couple of years. He said it has been known to cause this type of problem. Hope thats what it is, stators are $500.00 for that engine in these parts
Thanx Again Pulsare
