Helppp lol, I went to the lake on Labor day. This was the 1st time out with my new power head, the 675 cold cranking amp battery barely kept up cranking my beast over. I have a 26 pitch Cleaver and went 52.6 at 7000-8000 rpm didn't stay there long didn't want to pop another power head ( I can feel the prop slllliiiipping lol, didn't grab very often, I need a 28 pitch prop. Does anyone have a spindle mount Chopper that they would want to sell??? ) When the jack plate is all the way down, I have my motor bolted to the jack plat on the bottom set of holes available on the Merc bolt adjustment the bob's nose cone sits 4-6 in off the point of the V in my keel. Did I set it up wrong?? ( HELP!!!! ) LOL.

I know how to rework the hulls ( need to learn more on set-ups )

i would think with a chopper you would want to be at even or 1 inch below the pad max
they don't hook well untill on top
look to a laserII or a trophy instead

daren

Your post is a little confusing. Is your propshaft above or below the very bottom of the boat? Exactly how many inches?

I've got a new 29P Tempest plus. Got the box and all, tried it for 10 min. then took it off in the water. $250.00

How many ponies you got....You can spin the **** out of anything if it
isn't hooking up....

When I was setting my pulse up, I tried a 26p chopper and could
twist it up way to high, but go no where... Trophy and TP props
ran great.. using a 25p TP now and love it.

I'll take some measurements tomorrow and post them, I'm guessing I'm at 240-250 hp and the 26 pitch Cleaver isn't hooking up right lol, you can feel the slip
