Hey all as you know I just bought 93 219 with merc 454 alpha1 drive... I dont know much about props but what it has on it now is a quicksilver 48 13706 a41 25p... I take it the 25p is for pitch. Can anyone tell more about the prop and is it properly sized for the setup above... I want to learn all I can so I can talk your guys language when it comes to boats and performance... Please let me know what you think... Thanks!!!

prop

There are several things you need to know before you can determine if this is the right prop. you want to run the boat and you must know what your RPM's are at WOT. If you are not getting enough RPM's then the 25 is too much pitch. If you are over revving then you don't have enough pitch(I doubt that is the case for you). also how does the boat plane for you. does it jump right up on plane or does it struggle to get going while trimmed all the way down?
next, how are you going to use the boat? will it have a lot of people in it most of the time and will you be skiing, tubing, etc. If this is the case you will probably need a smaller pitch prop. The more people on board the longer your planing time. These are all things to think about when selecting the right prop.
