I have been reading this forum decided to sign up. this spring I bought a mx15 with a 115 t.o.p on it, had 135 carbs and lower unit with lwp off of a 150xs. was a fun boat with a 21p stainless 53mph. had porpoising issues though and a weak transom. so I sold it the guy basically just wanted the motor. I than picked up a 1983 checkmate panther v mate 2. it came with no motor ended up settling on a 98 175 2.5 litre mercury now running a stainless 25p quicksilver. runs great out of the hole in what seems like a second and a top speed of 105 km/h so far. which I think is around 65mph. so im fairly happy right now with it. anyways just thought id introduce myself

I have lots of family in Oshawa.
We were from West burbs of Toronto before trekking to St. Louis
Where do you run most of the time? Skugog? Lake Ontario?

There is a Muskoka run, I'd love to do it next year, but I have no trailer.

hey sorry for the late reply been swamped with work. yes I do usually just swing up to scugog as its a 20 minute drive for me so very convient. I have some more pics ill post up and 1 of my last check.
 
I cant figure out why it wont post some of my other pics I keep trying. I have 1 of my old check and a couple more with 2.5 mercury. the 150xp evinrude pic is when I first got the boat and buffed it, I tossed that motor on just to go out a couple times while my 2.5 was having the 25" mid swapped to a 20"
