New outdrive shifting backwards

I just got my brand new sterndrive engineering out drive replaced under warranty. First one only made it out 6 hours now my replacement drive is working but its backwards. forward on the controls is reverse and reverse is forward? Any ideas? I installed it myself like I have many others I don't beleave I have anything hooked up wrong or that it's even possible to have it wrong. I replaced a complete upper and lower both times. Never did this until the newest one
