Not turning over - loose connection maybe?

Guys,

I have a ZT240 with a 496 and seperate throttle and shift controls. Lately when I have been trying to start the engine, I have to wobble the shift control slightly in and out of neutral to get the engine to turn over. I am assuming that wherever the connection is that tells that it is in neutral is wearing thin. Does anyone know where this connection is made? Is it at the shift control itself, or is it back in the drive? If so, is this a tough repair? I can handle most easy to moderate repairs, but dont want to dive in too deep. Appreciate any help you can give.

Tim

This is called your neutral safety switch, this switch is located in the throttle assembly and carryies a yellow wire with a red stripe, usually it is either a corroded connection or a switch going bad. Really easy diagnose, really easy to repair.
