Cool pic, I don't know if I'd want to be the guy sitting on the front if the driver slows down to fast... safety first...lol

The times were differant back then! I just don't think it was a smart thing to do,Knowing theres no way in HELL you boat would clear CUSTOMS on that afternoon They were properly on thier way somewhere to lighten the load by about an ounce or so.:sssh:

yup, time were definately different back then...this boat eventually had a 200 on it, no jack plate or anything. rumor is it was quite a handful to drive... :D

Yes, things were different back then. You could have fun on the lakes, instead of feeling like you are "in a fishbowl" (everybodys watching, waiting for you to break the rules or just have more fun than tham, so they can call the Sheriff).

Great East and I are trying to keep the spirit of the Checkmates alive on our lake...

last summer I let the guy in that picture drive my predictor and he loved it.

it was pretty cool to see him in a checkmate again, like all the years i watched him when i was a kid.... bad part is that in his Talon, he is still 6-7 mph faster than me.... next year i want to at least be even.......
