Hey guys, I scraped my prop and skeg on the bottom tonight :brickwall: nothing major, everything still runs fine, it just left a little scrape on the skeg, and prop tips, it`s a Tempest prop, is there anything you would do to smooth it out, or leave it to a pro? My intention is to buy another prop soon anyways, what sucks is that I can't trade it anymore!

How bad is the prop? Scraped to the point of being unbalanced and spinning to 6k wouldn't be a great idea.... Any pics?

I would call it scratched, you have to look at it close to see it. After it happened, I raised to motor to look and thought nothing of it, I took the thing to WOT, and can't feel anything. Does that mean anything would I even feel vibrations?

I tagged the bottom early this year with my favorite prop. Nothing major just chewed the leading edges of the blades up a tiny bit. I took it off and first used a file to clean the edge up by running it up the length of the edges from the hub outward. Once I got it smooth (took off maybe 1/16 inch) I gave it a once over on the edge with emery cloth and called it good. Didn't seem to affect the performance of it. I'd like to give it a wet sand and a fresh polish still.
