Pulsare props

Which prop do you guys run on your pulsare 2100. I'd like to try a 27p trophy on my merc 250 xb. Will a 27p trophy pull a skier up.

I'm sure with your additional HP it would not be a problem. I have a 225 and I pull with a Trophy Plus 25P.

Post your results if you go that route.

I've been running a DAH chopper 28 for the past few weeks on my
Pulsare 2100/225 XRI. It's a bit slow out of the hole and will blow out if you nail it. You have to feather it till the bow comes over. The top end is strong!! I'm going to try a Tempest 25 tomorrow. I was running a DAH chopper 26 which had moderate hole shot, great midrange performance and good top end!....till I hit something under the water!:pissed: Still waiting to get the prop fixed. It's missing about 1/4" deep by 2 1/2" wide on the tip of one blade....definitly salvagable but......

I run a 27p tempest with a 225 Pro XS. No problem getting on plane with 5 people in the back (bow cover on) I havn't tried pulling a skier but I assume it should work. What gears are in that 300?

1:75 turning a 25p tempest. Great prop 70 gps excellent hole shot!

I run 250 Pro xs - 21 Pulsare BR. / 1:75-1 / 27 P Tempest PLus. Very new rig. I am going to try skiing this weekend. I bet I can get skier (s?) up. Problem is, to run a rpm engine likes - speed will be too fast.

I have a HIgh 5, 23P - going to try that also this week end. I am betting on this one for skiing. I will send you results Sun or Mon p.m.

Have a great weekend on the water

FYI
My boat 21 pulsare, 2007 250 pro xx\s, 175: 1, 10" set back, 27P Tempest ---just tried 23P Hi 5 for skiing --- great ! 27P tempest would pull up skiier, problem @ 3000 rpm were engine starts to like to run, to fast mph for most skiers

Thanks for the results! Anyone tried a trophy 26p-28p.

1996 Plusare 12" set back, hydrolic jack plate, 225EFI. I'mcurrently running a 26 Trophy plus with the 5/8 vent plugs installed. Great prop but like everyone I'm still looking. I have a 23 Hi 5 for sking and love that but it hits the limiter if I'm not careful. Good luck

oh, come on, don't worry about skiers, get the lighting e.t, and 300xs on that pulsare.. lol, i only wish i could afford a pulsare 2100 with a 300xs, but im a poor little boy, and the law does not allow me to work:(:(:(:

has anybody got a pulsare with the new merc 300xs?? if so, would you happen to have tried the lightning e.t?? i'd like to know how that prop and engine would push the pulsare.

With a 28 trophy, it will put you back in your seat and stick you there. A 2100 with a 300XS and 28 trophy, at 40-50mph range, punch it, and it will about hop out of the water. Never tried pulling a skier with it, but I ran it with 5 adults in the boat….would probably pull the arms off of a skier if your not careful.

nice, thats pretty sweet, what was your setup on that boat? what was your max speed? also, im new here to the checkmate boats website, so how does rep power and all that work??

MercPower, the set-up is 14.5" total setback, with the propshaft anywhere between 2" and 3/4" below the pad. Haven't found the exact "sweet" spot yet. Best prop for top speed on it is a 29 Tempest....90mph on gps, may have another 1, maybe 2 mph in it? The 28 trophy runs about 87 gps, but has a lot better hole shot and overall handling.
