running HOT!!!

OVERSIZE LOAD

Active member
250 EFI first time out this season & it's running hot reading hot on the guage & siren going off. water pressure is withing specs 3 psi @ idle & 13 psi @ 4k rpm. when I pulled it back to idle it would cool back down.

well I replaced the impeller & checked the thermostats in hot water & they open, so it's not there. anyone have anymore suggestions?

thanx, Steve T.

prob. found just in time to make it out onto Norman. the water temp. gauge or temp sensor went bad the exact same time the ecu detected water in the gas. so we were chasing a overheating gost. the motor was not running hot after all.
