Speedboat Magazine.

Did anyone else receive an issue of Speedboat magazine in the mail? It had a comparison test including a Checkmate, Donzi, Advantage and Eliminator. Good to see Checkmate get some press.

well..i got it .. The check faired ok but wasn't there fav. had a few issues. pick it up it is worth it.
 
I saw the article. They tested a ZT230 with 6.2L/320hp. They said it ran flat. Never been in a Checkmate that ran flat. They had a Mach 4-blade and could only get it up to around 4500 rpms. They also complained about the carpet in the engine compartment. They said it will get dirty. I say clean it then.

They gave some praise on the fit and finish. I think they mentioned that the test boat they drove had the flame graphics paited in clear rather than in the gel. Is this an option now?
