We had a NEW 2004 CHECKMATE 270BR stolen off our lot Wednesday 6/1/05.
It’s a white hull, purple checkered flag, and black stripes.
VIN# CHK46493F304

It has a Mercruiser 496 MAG H.O. 425hp Bravo 1 and a C-Hawk tandem axle trailer.

Thanks for your reply. We got a video tape and turned it over to the police. The boat had a trailer tongue lock but they still got it. It amazes me that someone had enough balls to take a $70,000 boat. What would you do with it? And if all they wanted was the motor and drive, how would they get rid of the boat and trailer?

Where do stolen boats go?
 
I had a boat stolen... a center console.

They stripped the motor, rigging, electronics.

Then, they left the boat naked in a parking lot about 30 miles from home.

Those damn #@$@%#$^$#$#^@#$%&@&^(*^@#$%!#
 
The Ohio Brown County Sheriffs found our Checkmate 270BR ½ floating down the Ohio River in Higginsport, Ohio (East of Cincinnati). The boat was totally stripped but the trailer was still attached. The hull is in awesome shape and the trailer has only a few dents and dings. But everything else is gone. We got some leads and a video tape of him driving the boat off the lot. If you hear of someone with a nice new motor, let me know. I think this was a local job. Sure would like to find them.
