Looks like the Persuader is going into hibernation. Doubt if there will be time for one more run. This year was a wash for me. But on the bright side, Atleast I know now that she is good to go and will be ready for the start of next season. Planning also to install some tabs on it in the meantime..:sleep::sleep:

Finally figured out the picture thing.:banana::banana:

Sorry for posting in the wrong place.:)

I Put mine to bed on Sunday, probably won't even get out to the cabin to check on them again till Xmas, no winter projects in the works, if I can get a few extra bucks in the spring I'd like a Bimini top, got a quote from the local boat tarp place that did my other tarps for $600 for one with aluminum frame that would be good for 35-40 mph or one for $800 with a stainless frame that would be good for 60 ish they claim, might try for some OT this winter and save up for one, would come in real handy at the raft ups.

We did get a real nice day in and went and blew out a 1/2 a tank before we tucked her in

By the looks of the corn in the background you have some decent fall boating weather coming. Don't be too quick to winterized it :thumb: Winter is too damn long!

I hear you PC. Only reason mine isn't wrapped up yet is I'm hop for a cruise up the Hudson when the leaves are changing.

I got my Bimini off eBay John. It was about $200 and I've run over 30mph with it.

I admit that the weather here still isn't too cold for going out to the lake. Just not enough time especially now with the vette thrown in to the mix. Next year will be different and I will have a lot more time then.

Fall can bring some of the greatest boating, there's still a few more really nice opportunities to get her wet {and put the boat in the water :)}.

Put 71 hrs on her this year so far, will probably end up around 85 hrs by the time I fog her up.

Going out tonight after work for an evening river cruise, then both Saturday and Sunday out to the ocean.

I hear ya Kurt. Aside from time my one of my problems is that I don't go out alone. I can't load and unload my boat by myself. So I have to always wait on usually my brother to go out with me. The wife is no help because of disability and I am a big guy who's just not as flexable as I used to be especially since I started battling RA two years ago.

Planning on taking the Mate out today. Cooler more dense air should combine to produce some extra ponies. Finally feeling healthy enough to get back on the water. Tried a couple of weeks ago but a starter problem reared it's ugly head. Got that all fixed, she turns over like mad now. By this evening I should be tired, maybe a little sunburnt, hair all windblown back, fuel tank empty, and the hour meter a few ticks higher.

Trailer guides is something I was thinking about. I just may install them on the new trailer. In the spring I will just then go by myself during the week and just practice, Cause this waitin on all the the stars to align so I can go boating has gotten real old. Yes, next year will be different.

Yes, since I have a hard starting old Merc, I have to tie her up and start my ritual start up sequence:popcorn:....so I just dump her in, wife holds the rope till I park the truck, or I will will float it off if no ones waiting...the guides hold it in place nicely while i get out of the vehicle.
Just as easy going on.....my guides should be a little tighter but I live with it.

Beautifull boat by the way!!!:bigthumb:

Check them out on eBay John. I got mine there for less than $200. Then bought a few stainless clamps and support poles to fit on the rails so I can fit it to them or remove easily. Usually takes me 3-5mins to take it off or put on. Also meant I didn't have to screw into the deck to fit it.

I don't take it over 30mph while up as a canopy, but can go to WOT with it tied back and resting on the support arms I bought. It's served us very well over the last 2 years. The family always ask me to put it up when we're rafted up on the warm days.

I can send you some pics of the setup if you like.

If you're only planning to use it for raft ups, then I would highly recommend the cheaper alternative.

Some pics would be great, thanks, Chuck also sent me a pm and said eBay was the way to go, I took a look and I think that's the best, just need to decide which one, how high is yours? I see lots that are 47" or 54"

Sorry for the hijack Rich :o

I can't stand anyone helping me load, usually lose my S$it unless it's my Dad helping, lol, I will tell people to just stand over there or wait in the truck or boat, lol
