There is one on www.boattraderonline.com but it has no picture. Its in Vermillion OH they want 4,000 for it. 18ft with a 460 in it. Its about an hour from me just a few miles from where I have to go to pick up my Sidewinder molds. Give them a call and I can inspect for you and if you want, pick it up.

Yes sir.And it's you're fault for giving me the idea.

Brian, if you can get that bad boy for under $500 then just have it shipped!! 7 hours left and it's at $305!!

Here's something I just thought of. Last year, a guy came to work and searched me out. He had an interesting story from the weekend.

He was driving by one of our local lakes, and saw a guy in one of those pathetic 4Winns little jet boats from the early 90's. What caught his eye, was the thing was haulin' booty across the water. My co-worked headed for the landing and met the boat there. He struck up a conversation, and the guy lifted the hatch on the 4Winns. Instead of the junk 120 Evinrude jet under the hatch, it had a chevy 4.3!

Now I'm wondering what a 500 horse 440 Dodge would do in the back of a little late model Checkmate Playmate with the 120 and jet drive removed and replaced with the 440 and Legend pump!

Sure! When I toured the factory the first time was when they were in maybe the third year of building the little Playmate jets. I talked to Bill about them, and he was bragging how well built the little 'Mates were built. I guess some manufacturers had stress cracking around the jet pump/exhaust area, and Checkmate didn't.
I still think one of Coops Tri-mate hulls might work well with some slight modification.

Legend actually makes the inserts that I would need to make my hull into a jet hull. I'll have to find out what they want for one.
