I am posting this here because of those who have experience with aging Checkmates. If there's a better place for me to post, please let me know.
I have a 1974 Tri-Mate with a 1978 175h Evinrude (well, that's what the cover says but I believe it's actually a 225h). It runs with some persuation but could use a good overhaul. The transom is rotted and it could use some other minor fiberglass repair on the bow and the floor. The gel coat is shot too. It has a new throttle and steering cable and the interior is in fair shape (no rips or major fading but it's aging). It's quite a hot rod and I love the boat but we don't have the time or money to invest in this so I'm wondering what a fair price for this would be should we try to sell. We were told the hull is uncommon which may be a good selling point? Anything that anyone could offer would be great. I have a hard time with this site so if you could email me, that would be great! tjhawk@frontiernet.net
