What prop for a 260ZT

Hello,

Hope someone could give me some advice about a prop for my 260ZT with a 454 mag mpi and bravo one drive.

Right now i have a Mirage 23P but the RPM's goes up to about 5700 rpm's. on the engine it says max WOT is 4600-5000 rpm's.
Top speed right now is about 52mph.

I was thinking about a 25P 3-blade but I'm also curious about 4-blade but my local marina tells me that is not possible for a boat like this. However I'm over in sweden and we don't have that manny boats like this here so I'm not sure i can trust that.

What do you think?

Is the engine completely stock? The Mercury 454 MAG MPI Rev limiter is set at 5150 RPM's from the factory. The engine should not be turning that high of RPM (5700). I love the Mirage the 23P Mirage prop but sounds to me you need to look at a Bravo 1 (4 Blade). What is your drive ratio?

I think the engine is stock but I'm not sure. Can the rpm gauge be of that much even though it shows the correct rpm at idle?

Any idea what pitch bravo one 4-blade?

I suggest you have your tach looked and or even replaced. How high are you trimming the drive? What ratio drive do you have 15.1? Your slip number (37%) just do not add up. I would think you could turn a 24 Pitch Bravo 1 on that set up.

Everyone says it doesent add upp so maybe I should start wih changing out the tac.

When you say a 24P Brav one, is that a 4-blade?

Yes it is a 4 Blade, Mercury Bravo 1 24 Pitch propeller.

The drive ratio is on a tag on the side of your out drive.
