Where and which setback to buy?

Can someone recommend where to buy a setback plate? I would like to add about 6" to the 5.5 hyd. that I already have. I seem to only find manual adjustables.

225 mer on starflite.
Thanks

Has anyone used the bobs machine "c" channel style?
Will they be stable enough to go in front of my existing hydr. jack plate?
thanks

im runnin' 12 right now and it's NOT enough:devil: i'm going with 14 or 15 in the spring:surf::eyecrazy:

That raises a good question. How much IS enough. I would think a 21' Starflight could benefit from more than 12". I know I am running 10" on my 18' Exciter and am using ALL of the trim to achieve max rpm/speed so I'm thinking more setback is needed. I'm going to look to move to 12" or better in the future at some point. I always thought that was ONE of the benefits of running "x amount" of setback...not having to use full trim to carry the bow effeciently/effectively.

okay, who has the most setback on a starflight?

What extra support was added?

Did you have to rebalance the boat on the trailer? I may be maxed out now on forward travel on my trailer.!

It seems like more and more and more would really stress the transom.

"f150gt" is running 18" on his starflite with a custom bracket that he made

With this setup, what did he accomplish as far as MPH increase? +5mph +10 mph

I guess I am trying to determine the point of diminishing returns. Also trying to figure what the original transom can handle?

thanks

he hasn't been on here in a while but i think he told me he was running in the low 70's with a 200 yamaha. this bracket he made was very wide to disrtibute the weight over the whole transome. it was also made out of tubing if i remember right:thumb:
