Thanks ! This was my first try at doing nasty old fiberglass work

Itch Itch Itch. It's not a factory job but I think It's turning out OK. Kind of funny that all this work was done because my trim cylinder needed rebuilt.I was removing the gas tank to access the lower motor mounting bolts when I found the rotted stringer system, standing water and the saturated flotation foam. Now after all that work I still need to pull the motor loose and take the trim cylinder out for rebuilding. Wish I had a 135 or 150 to hang back on her. 41 mph is just to slow for this little boat. 55 to 60 is what I hope to see one day

Looks GREAT!!
I am in the process of the same job on an '85 Predictor. Found the same standing water and soaked foam. Did you replace the foam?? Could not tell from the pics.

Thanks!!

85Predictor, I did not replace the foam. After doing some homework on our website I decided not to go back with it. I wanted to keep it lite and I wanted to make sure that water under the floor can run back to the bilge pump well. Good luck with your job. I checked out your pics, It looks way cool. I like the twin stringers, good idea. The only advice I have is try and take into consideration the thickness of the vinyl and the carpet when you make new panels. That will make the final install go smoother.

Your repair looks great, wanna do mine? Just kidding.Your pics made me realize I have a bit more in store than I bargained for.But what kind of fun would something be if you didn't have to fix anything.I'll drop some pics.Could probably use some advice.Thank's.

Had the boat out nearly every day last week. We had a blast, all went well until we almost sank. We ran over a 3' long 2x12 and thought it knocked a hole in the hull. We started to take on water fast. I was freaking out! After haulig ass back to the ramp with the bilge pump working over-time I found out only the plug was missing. I installed the spare plug after the water draned out from under the floor and back out we went for some water skiing. That incident really made me question not putting the flotation foam back in, but all ended up cool. I don't wish that deal on anyone, things were a little tense for a while on that trip. Hope your first week out after your rebuild goes smooth.
