loss of speed

Had all the seals in my lower unit replaced last week, when I ran the boat it lost 4 mph at the same rpm???? anyone got any Ideas:brickwall:
 
Maybe there is higher viscosity gear oil in the lower. Thicker oil WILL slow you down.
Thanks for that info I will have to call the shop to see what they put in the l/u when turning the prop by hand it feels a little stiffer does'nt turn as freely as before. I was running merc synthetic gear oil. I will look into this thanks for the insight.
