Looking for a 303 320 or 330

I am looking for a large Checkmate Twin. 303,320,330. I have searched Yachtworld, Ebay,Boat Trader, ABL, ect. Was just checking to see if a board member is thinking about selling or knows of one for sale.
Thanks;
Rick

^x2... A single with 500hp would perform better than twins with 260hp each. Not to mention the weight difference.

The 303,320 &330 only come with twins. I like lots of room. With blue motors should be able to tweek one of these to 90mph.

That is a good reason. I am not familiar with the 303, 320, 330. I just know its rare to see twin I/O's in a mate. Your boat and the boat in the pic below and the one Kunkels had is the only ones I seen with twins. I would call the factory and find out how many where really made. You might be searching for something thats not around.

I will really like to know myself how many where produced. What year is your boat in the avatar ?

I believe there was a twin @ the factory when I went there. BIG BOAT considering most Checkmates that I come across are O/B 21'ers and under. I really liked it.

90 mph HELLO! My buddies 29 Fountain won't come close to that with twins.

Have you thought about going new?:poke:

Hope you find something.

How much are you looking to spend and does it have to be a Checkmate.

I have a 2002 Powerquest 380 Avenger w/Twin 500HP EFI, approx 140hrs, Boat has many options, Triple Axle Vanguard Trailer.
Have not used the boat for 2 years, too big for the river system I boat on, like my 2100 Pulsare Long Deck for river boating.

Thoughts????:cheers

This post(er) seems a bit suspicious. First post after 6 months of membership and no introduction?

I think a 30' Convincor w/ twin 525's would not have a problem hitting 90. There was some around in the late late 1990's and I believe they would run high 70's with twin 454mags (385hp).

I always tend to pick on Fountains....I don't think they are all they're made out to be. I have a buddy right now with a 27 Fever and HP500....runs low 70's.....so did my 270 Convincor with only a 496HO.

Go figure.

I remember this HD but I can't remeber what post:D

:rof:

It was in the post about someone looking for a C'mate (there are so many of them I can't remember exactly the one). It was resurected recently, and I liked it so much the second time I read it that I chose it for my SIG.

That statment could me made for any toy/hobby. Some people just take it more seriously than others......I AM ONE OF THE ONES THAT TAKES IT SERIOUSLY!:cheers

Thanks for the cool SIG!!!!!!!

big checkmates

I just viewed 15 checkmates on boattrader, it's probably really about half that many. Watch yourself with some of these characters, if they are like some of the autotrader listers they will try and scam you. like financing 3000.00 for 290.00 a month for 40 months.
good luck

I have had 2 283's with stock big block power. 454 mags 76gps 502 mags 80gps. Thing is the engines are shoehorned in these. Loved both of them. The 303 is the newer 320. Want to put my 500 efi's in one. Then add whipples. I have looked at the interesting ones out there. Too rough. That's why I was trying to tempt a fellow member.
Thanks for replies guys.
