wanted to hear all of your prop slip numbers..... and what is the optimal place to be for your boat? 200merc 1.87lower 6300rpm 63.7gps=13%slip

better #'s when i can try my tempest plus.........

been on that site a few times. was wondering what everyone else on the site had for numbers and how they found the best combo for low slip numbers:thumb:

Best slip #'s I have ever had on anything was a 2100 with a 225 merc, 1.75 gears and an "ALUMINUM" prop! 23" pitch Hustler, 12" setback, 3" below pad was good for 67.5 gps @ 5800rpm's. 6% slip! Not the fastest prop I've ran, but I went around 90deg. turns at wot and full trim and could not make it blow out! Not the fastest, but best handling, best driving, and best bite of all props I have tested! boatman

I never really thought about slip number much my main concern was just top speed numbers. Those will not always go hand in hand.:bounce:

The best that I got last summer was just below 10%.

Most of the time I was approaching the 13% mark.

Last summer I had to "overtrim" to get the last few MPH out of her, so that explains the higher slip value. This is along the lines of what Hotbeek was saying, best slip #'s doesn't always correlate with best speed #'s.

I am hoping for single digit slip #'s this year with a change in set-up..........and triple digits Speed #'s too..LOL:shakehead:
