Thinking of redoing the side glass on the enchanter so its longer. What do you think. Do it or leave it alone? At first I was going to make it end where it rounds up but it did not look right. I will have to find where to get the new aluminum frame pieces and the glass is just tempered safety glass.29743040387_large.jpg

Honestly man, you do awesome work, but i'd leave the widshield just the way it is! To me, the Enchanter windshield is a focal point on the boat and just looks perfect for lines of the hull, that's one of the many reasons i love the Enchanter (Exciter, Predictor as well). I've always wanted to tint or smoke the glass on mine, but leave the frame aluminum, i think with the green on your boat that would look killer. Just my oppinion bud, leave the windshield as is, you still have probably the most bad a$$ Enchanter on the planet!!

Cool looking boat! I've got an Enchanter O/B. It's a personal taste thing for sure. My opinion is I think it would just look different, not better or worse. I think I'd think about the ease of entry in and out of the boat though. Having to lean over the side to grab a dock or whatever might be a pain.

I've been thinking lately about tinting my windows just a tad. I see you've polished your aluminum. Looks good. I'm a big fan of polishing aluminum. I've done several motorcycles but never thought about polishing the window frames. I did consider painting the window frame a semi-flat black but I figured the cover would just keep rubbing the paint off on the edges. Too much upkeep.:shakehead: Anyway, that's really a nice Enchanter. I'm sure it still turns heads wherever you go.

I do like the look of the longer one. The windshield does date the boat to the 80's (not a bad era:thumb:) and the longer would make it look a bit newer. However like Red said I have a feeling it will turn into a grab bar, even more so with the rails removed and nothing else to grab onto. Getting in and out will be harder and I HATE when people jump onto my seats. It drives me insane, only thing worse is those who wear dirty shoes in board:pissed:.

Your boat looks ~ Great~, you do great work as stated earlier ( I'd say do as you feel you need ) your boat is your creation and a work of art in progress.:thumb:

The more I look at it I say go for it. You may want to look for a Starflite part. Or any older windshield parts would do.

WTF, I thought that boat was "dirty"???

I voted no- not because I think you'll screw it up, but I've always really liked the looks of this style windshield- I also like the silver... imo, it looks pretty tough.:bigthumb:

What would Chip Foose do? :eyecrazy:

Seriously, I like the way it looks now better. Plus, as others have pointed out, the modification will make it harder for entry and exit, and the window will become the defacto grab rail.

When something's as near perfection as your boat, it's hard to improve upon.

I almost shoved a DNR officer overboard on my boat when I first bought it for doing that with his giant overboots.......It was soooo hard to resist that temptation.

Brian, I would tint the glass very dark, paint the frame your lime green color, and rock it!:thumb:

Nick, it was dirty!! Now its thinking bout having some dirty collage girls aboard:banana: Oh wait, thats just me:devil:
HAha.... I hear ya there brother!
Yeah, I saw the other thread after I posted that- looks way better now.

OOOHHH yeah... summertime and trashy women out on the water makes me happy- or is that horny?... either way, its a good time!:thumb:
