probally with a 2lb drilling hammerBoy am I mad, was going to go out sailing today and the motor's gone 6 hp extended tohatsu........ had lock on the clamps and steel cable locked around it. Cut cable and don't know how they removed lock........
That stinks! What kind of Checkmate has a 6hp Tohatsu on it?
This is your chance to upgrade to a 300 Merc!
If he does that, he won't need the sails anymore, and he could slap some Checkmate decals on it.That baby would look awesome with 300 black horses on the back.If he does that, he won't need the sails anymore, and he could slap some Checkmate decals on it.
Kidding aside, is that all they took and did they do any damage to the boat?

Can you see the look on the rest of the faces at the regatta as he blows by doing 50?

I'm sure we all have stories, but this one has alwayd gotten me.
My grandfather leaves his boat on a lift. Went down and dropped it in to go for a ride. Soon noticed the stern looking a bit low in the water so he pulled the lift back up. Some one had stolen the outdrive off the boat right on the lift.

For the record;
A. Sorry to hear about your loss and somebody ripping you off- that stinks!
B. I happen to love sailing. Given the choice between a day out on my Check and a day out on a Hobie 16, hard wind, sponson up in the air ..? ..hard call which I would go for. I love sailing!!!
We take vacations all the time scuba and sailing over stayin' home on the Check.
But nothin' beats busting chops online when there's nothing else doing.
Sorry.
Sailing can also involve some serious adrenaline.I had a ride on a 32 footer years ago on Lake George. He had this sail boat ( I think the term was keel up ) This boat was cookin and I was standing up on the side of the boat. Scared the hell out of me..But still enjoyed it.

the skipper didn't know what the heck he was doing and almost killed us.
I will never trust a sail boat skipper again!
