If I was younger, I'd just buy the whole thing. Too old to start now!
If he had thought that way, I wouldn't have gotten screwed out of 48K !!
OK boys n girls, I'm all in but I do all of the designing along side of my hand chosen forum member team. I'll keep it old school and true to the KING Mr. Combs style with modern materials and technology. Hard lines and defined molds would thrive again. The euro style would be the first to go by by. I would also give the market the best "old school cool" performance/wakeboard boat to date. As much as you, me and the rest of the old school SOB's around here dislike them they are obviously a huge share of todays market and I don't see it going anywhere for a long time. Also high on the list would be strong efforts towards recreating true metal flake gel.
now who is going to win the lottery and finance my vision? I belong in the marine industry![]()

Its like you've been reading my notes. The reality in today's market, economy and lack of trust in the boat building industry is that you would have to build and stock finished products before any potential buyer lays down their hard earned cash. Too many people have been screwed over by too many boat builders that have gone belly up over the past 10 years. Then you have to hope the colors/graphic/paint/carpet/etc. are appealing to the masses to get the products to move so your capital is not tied up in products collecting dust on the shelves! If I were to "invest" my capital into the brand name, I would restart the brand by mass producing (but with quality workmanship) many complete hulls of the popular models so when a consumer decides to by a boat he can see, touch, smell the boat he pays for!
Guess I'll contribute by going in and throwing a baja fire party to get rid of some molds.

Doug will just dig them "all burnt up" out of the fire pit, drag them over to his next warehouse he stole from some poor guy and start building baha's again. Those hulls are so ugly in the first place no one would know the difference.![]()
How about just buying up old used checkmates and repowering and modernizing?

You saying your going to do all the core, transom and rot work.![]()
