NICE BOAT, BOUGHT IT A A WHILE BACK AND AFTER HAVING IT OUT A COUPLE TIMES JUST HAVE DECIDED THAT ITS NOT MY STYLE. THE SPEED AND ACCELERATION IS UNREAL...BUT I DONT WANNA HAVE TO STORE 2 BOATS AND TWO JET SKIS, AND I LIKE MY 2800SX MORE THAN THE COUGAR.....SO IMA SELL HER.


INTERIOR SHOWS SIGNS OF NORMAL USE AS DOES THE GELCOAT, BUT IS IN ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION. SEASTAR PRO (TO THE HELM) HYDRAULIC STEERING, HOT FOOT, STEERING WHEEL TRIM CONTROL, V8 275hp EVINRUDE OUTBOARD MOTOR WITH 20" OFFSHORE MIDSECTION. NOSECONED LOWER UNIT WITH LOW WATER PICKUP. lol its pretty dam fast.....the prop thats on it now really isnt the best top end prop and it still gets down like crazy and the acceleration is sick lol.

with a good cleaver it would run ALOT faster than i would wanna go in it. lol
 
FYI:

i put a 26 chopper prop on this boat and its waaaaay faster than the 5 blade. ( at least it feels faster it may just be the fact that the boat is alot more "loose" with the 3 blade. as i did not gps the boat with the 5 blade) i still dont know if the chopper is the best prop for this setup but it sure is fast. lol

i gpsd it at 84.6 on my phone and was till packin air and pickin up speed like crazy at about 5600-5800 rpm and climbing steadily. it was VERY windy out and i didnt wanna push it. i cant believe the acceleration on this boat! lol

i think it could very easily run 90 on a calm day or with somebody more familiar with the boat. i was to chicken to push it. lol

just an FYI on the motor: the cowl says 275 but its actually a 300 powerhead.

runs great! fast boat for not much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
 
I like the colors,put it up on Screamandfly.Itll get the most views over there simply because it covers a wider range of peple.

:lol: there is actually seating for 7 in this boat......it has the 'back to back' front seats......so no midgets.....but thanks. now would you want to put 7 250 pound men in the boat?? prolly not. but none the less.....there are 7 seats in the boat.....count em.
 
That makes more sense, you can't see the back to back seats in that pic. Update that Craigslist add with more pics, it may help your sale.

ya know i just looked at the pic and you really cant tell that the seats are back to back.......they look like regular seats in the photo.

i will add more pics today......

raised the motor up and ran a lab 26 chopper......ran 91 mph on GPS yesterday. just me in the boat.

this thing is like its on rails!

somebody needs a fast boat.....make me an offer!!!
 
You will get your best speed with prop shaft bout level with the center pad! Just want to add that cougars are exceptianally well build boats. This model being made in Canada is the mates of tunnels (if not nicer)... I own a cougar 19 mtr and it is a great boat fast and handles very well. Good luck with your sale.

ive been havina blast with it!! its def a solidly built boat. i cant believe how sturdy it is. its like a rock especially considering how light it is. it handles rough water great for a small boat.

it will make somebody a very nice turn key dependable boat.
