CM Factory Interiors

YF did for his Enchanter. Cost was reasonable, fit and finish is excellent. You should wait until after whatever ownership exchange is going on at the factory before you do it.
 
I ordered a new interior around xmas time and received it sometime in
Feb. and the quality is excellent. The price tag was 1700 but I thought
well worth it. The only minor problem is installing it yourself.
So far I only have the deck lid finished and now its boating season but
the rest is still real decent and can wait. Also this was for a 251,
Purdy sure the price changes with different models.
I would take RNGRDVEs advice and wait till the smoke clears at CM before
ordering.
 
That's actually quite reasonable. I've been so busy trying to buy one I didn't realize there was a sale going on. Do we know whats happening?

Had them do my engine cover/sun pad in Feb {probably one of the last pieces done before.... {well u know}....

Excellent quality reasonable price and pretty quick turnaround.
 
Well boys and girls I received a voice mail today from Kip with the estimate for my new interior for the Dip. I still need to call him back to get some clarification on the particulars but suffice it to say the $1700 Wrenchmate paid for his 251 Purdy was a steal. I'll keep you posted.
 
I'm real interested in the pricing myself. I had hear astoundingly good prices before but if they've went up I'll just find the time to do it myself
 
Had skins, and 3 full pieces made on my Pulse 185 and they did a EXCELLENT job. Pretty sure it was 1300 shipped but that was 3 years ago.
 
Spoke to Kip this morning. He said they are staring from scratch on the pricing for interiors under the new ownership.
He quoted me $3,700 for a turnkey bolt in interior replacing everything including eliminating the wood backing. Now understanding that a Dip has quite a bit of vinyl I would expect a higher price, but honestly I'm not sure on this quote. Thoughts?
 
Dang there goes the good factory interiors for a reasonable price, turnkey bolt in before for your boat was around $1800-$1900, $3700 is no deal, might as well get it done locally.

My Eluder was only $1050.00 for skins and I put them on my self, had it all done with new rear seat wood and stainless staples for around $1300.00
 
I understand we don't have a strong economy and with prices like that they may find a lack of interest from Checkmate owners wanting to replace their interior.

But then again this may just be a way of not getting involved in the stock factory replacement market without saying they are not really interested.
Does anyone know how Hustler has treated these requests, if any, for their boats?

Time will tell, we just have to wait and see.

Someone mentioned that Dean and the lead lady in the old Checkmate
shop went out and started a new operation making the replacements. What ever happened there?
Any one know.
 
:eyecrazy::eyecrazy: 3700 for a diplomat interior. Wow that is quite steep. I relize the dip has alot of pieces but dang yo! I paid only about 1800 for a soup to nut interior for my dip about three years ago from them. I may have to strongly consider farming my persuader out to the local guy. If i can find one good enough.
 
I just talked to Kip this afternoon about a Starliner interior, soup to nuts. He said they have a lot of correspondence and inquiries to go through, but I can expect a price in a few weeks.

I'm glad the option is still there. One price does not a policy make. I'll let you know when and what I hear.
 
If they have patterns and all they are doing is cut and stitch, then I think 1 to 2k, depending on the boat, is fair. If they are making all new panels and seats with foam and attachment then you can easily double that. The reason it's hard to find someone to do quality upholstery work is that most people don't want to pay for it. That's my experience. :shakehead:
