1993 Starflite. Has a 200hp EFI Merc. with a hydraulic power jackplate. The lower unit internals are all new. Boat has only has been in fresh water. And never been kept in the water.
Gel coat is all factory with one small mark in it from the dock. Gauges are all nice with red trim bezels. Floor and transom is SOLID. Interior is all factory and in good shape. One split in the rear seat.
Still has the factory Ski pole and cockpit cover that are both great shape. Have a full cover too that is brand new. Garage kept boat when not in use.
Trailer is ready to go. All wood is new, Brand new tires and fresh re-pained rims.
The bad of the boat:
Engine will loose water pressure when on plane. Water pressure at idle is 7-9 PSI. Pressure when on plane will slowly drop to 1-2 psi and then cylinder temp will jump to 200F.
Power head has been rebuild and then completely went through again due to the loss of water pressure. I bought the boat with a broken lower unit so never knew the boats performance.
I feel the problem is with the low water pickup not allowing enough water into the water pump when on plane due to a restriction.
Has had two water pump kits, new head gaskets, poppet valve, mid-plate gaskets, rear exhaust/water chamber gaskets...
I give up.
Just want to move this boat and not deal with it anymore. Boat idles great all day long can be driven around the lake for a "water test" to show that the engine is good and lower unit internals are good.
Only want $4000 Im sure someone with more OB experience will find it to be something small and stupid.
