    Well, I found someone to trade with. I picked up a 2001 Yamaha V Star 650. Thanks to all for a great ride!! Chris, you have a GREAT place for Checkmate owners to hang out. I will visit often. Who knows, I may pick up another boat someday. If I do, it will be a Checkmate!!

    Good on Gas!!?? Well let's see.... I ran about 30-35 miles with some slow side trips and a fair number of quick starts. I went through 7 gal. The water was very rough and was quite windy. **5 MPG I guess is not that great after all!!**

    Solid Mounts !!

    I have tried selling the boat but no takers!! I guess I could hold on to it as an on-going project. Ballpark cost for solid mounts?? Is it a big job to change them?? Thanks!
