    i bought a 79 trimate this year too, i am new to the checkmates also, a manual can be bought online or at a marina that specializes in that motor, i have a 79 mercury 115 horse inline 6, and my best top speed has been 54 mph, i like the boat i just redid my interior, it was trashed, and i paid...

    thx at least if someone else has done it its ok, lol, ill keep the gas tank i guess, and when i do the floor (WINTER) ill put the tank back in. thx alot
