    Wiring issues 1973 Merc 1500

    Well I found a wiring diagram for it and found that I had the the starter wire crossed with the coil wire in the harness. Got that straightened out and still had nothing pulled the control box apart and found the wires were toast in it so I disided that when I got it going I would hard wire it...

    I am working on bringing a 1973 mercury 1500 back to life. It ran a couple of years ago and when I got into it I found most all of the wiring dry roted. So I am trying to find a wiring diagram for it. Thanks all

    I resently got a 14ft checkmate giving to me with no motor. I was plaining on picking up a motor for it then I got to thinking after reading some threads that the merc 150 in my garage might work on it just looking for a little advise making it work if it is possible. I do not know the modle...
