    Persuader 235 opinions

    I had a 235 for a few years. The ride would be better but not great. If you want a good ride in rough water stick with a 24 degree deadrise hull, the persuader is only 22. My main complaint with mine was the SMALL cockpit and the Checkmate bounce.

    Synthetic Teak Flooring

    I had the cockpit floor replaced in my Persuader last fall. Hated the carpet (bright purple that isn't made any longer) Replaced it with the stuff they use on swim platforms like Sea Deck . Looks like teak planks. Really like the look but it was expensive.

    Not to change the subject but did you see any noticeable performance increase with the exhaust and distributor swap? Thinking of doing the same thing with my 454 Mag.

    Trip Home Stopped at Discount Tire to get the tires balanced. All four were out of balance. Smooth sailing after that.

    What type of check mate is this??

    Brings back memories I remember one of these on Lake Shafer when I was a teenager even red like yours. Parents bought one for some "rich kid". Boy was I jealous! And that was around 1970.

    Davis Unified Ignition (DUI) makes a marine HEI distributor. Highly recommend them.

    Props for Sale

    24 Bravo You may want to consider a 26 bravo instead of a 24. I have a 24 on my 235 with a stock 454 Mag and it looks like you have quite a bit more motor.
