    Prop question for a '87 Johnson 175hp

What size prop am I suppose to run on a 1987 Johnson 175hp V-6 with a 15 spline shaft. I currently have a Renaged 13 1/2 x 25. When I looked on ebay for a Raker prop, everyone is selling 14 1/2 x (whatever pitch I want) for a Johnson V-6. Makes me think I don't have the right size prop right...

    Prop for a 175 Johnson on a '87 Starliner

I have a 21' starliner with a 175 Johnson. Both are 1987. I am looking for a good s/s prop. I heard the 22 pitch raker was a good choise. I run the Cheasapeake and have to deal with rough water, so need to be able to run smoothly at lower speads (do to wakes and chop) and be able to get...

The real deal 50 to 1 is what you should be running. 50 to 1 equates to 16ounces to 6gallons of gas. Use quicksilver premium 2 strock oil and add quicksilver fuel treatment (forgot the technical term) at least twice a year. I use it every tank. This will leave your cylinders in the best shape.

my motor seems like it is holding back?

Try a fuel system cleaner You should be running quicksilver fuel cleaner (I forget the technical name) at least twice a year. I use it every tank. The directions say something like adding 1 ounce per 5 gallons. Thick motor carbonation always hampers a motor. This stuff really works. Make...

    New Check owner

I am the proud new owner of an 86 Starliner (open bow). I purchased the boat from Mooney who is also a member here. Took it out last weeked and as very pleased with the ride and the amount of room for passangers. The only thing I did not like was the tall windshield that the Starliner was...

Looking for low pro Windsheild & 22p Raker Prop.

I have an 86 Starliner (open bow) and am looking for a low profile windshield. A Starflite Low Profile window would work. I would just have a glass shop fabricate it to fit. Also looking for a 22p Raker SS prop. Give me a call, 760-402-9158.
