    I have to sell my boat. It has a mercruiser 140 that has been rebuilt and has 90hrs on it. It was bored.20 over and all new parts were used. the drive was also serviced and new gimbel bearing and belows were installed. The interior has had some work done to it and is clean but is starting to act...

    Need new prop

    I need a new prop. I have a 1979 trimate iv. The problem is I have the pre-alpha drive and can't seem to find a blade for it. Someone told me they are the same as alphas but i'm not sure. If that was true why do all the listings say 82 or 84 and up? please help.

    Breaking In

    Well I have finished my 140 i/0 rebuild and droped in the boat. I just got off the lake and what a differance!! I would like to know how long to expect blow-by. I was told untill the rings seat I will get some blow-by. I put about an hour on in the direway and 2 hours on the lake while varying...

    Thanks, I only conseder it because I know that a 4banger works harder than a 8. And I want this motor to last as long as it can. I will break in for 40hrs and then think about the change.

    dude, I have the same boat. With a worn motor and a 21p ss prop I ran about 50mph. your max rpm should be 4600-4800rpm. I am thinking of going to a 22p cleaver. My motor is being rebuilt this weekend so I will have some new numbers in a few weeks.
