    Pulsare 1850 Pad Construction

Finally got it mounted today. I removed some material and used expoxy to fix it to the hull. I put it on the water this afternoon, It works very well to be shooting thru the hull. I only loose some transmission at high speed when air gets under the pad in chop. The temperature gauge reads...

    Pulsare 1850 Pad Construction

The instructions show a diagram of removing the core material to get to the outer layer of glass. I just don't know if I am accomplished enough to do this without blowing a big hole thru the pad. OldSchool

    Pulsare 1850 Pad Construction

The setup I am attempting to install, is a Shoot thru hull transducer, if done correctly it is seamless. No holes, no lines to the outside, no transom mount, the transducer transmission is strong enough to go thru the hull without drilling, just epoxy the the transducer to the bottom of the...

    Pulsare 1850 Pad Construction

I just wanted to drop a line and ask a question about the pad construction on my pulsare 1850. I am adding a shoot thru hull transducer for a depth gauge and it will be located near the last 4 inches of the bottom (pad area) of the boat. The installation manual suggests mounting the transducer...

Which engine is better? > With Pics of each engine...

Dr. Phil, I had the same Evinrude that you have a picture of, it was a 1977 model. That model was bullet proof. The evinrude run very well with the 16' boat that I had at the time. It could pull me up on one ski with a deep water start very easy. The Chrysler you listed was not in the same...

Placing a depth Transducer on transom of a Pulsare?

I was just wanting to know if anyone as put a transducer on there transom for depth and water temp. Lowrance has a unit that can do both, I think it is the 3800 series. I just don't know about drilling through the glass to attach, plus it would not be very good looking. OldSchool

    Ordering Merchandise from Checkmate Website?

Has anyone had any experience ordering shirts, hats, key chains etc. from Brilliant Promotions. My ordering experience with them has been very slow. I placed an order over 3 weeks ago and still no word. I called last friday and they told me my order would be out monday, well friday has come...

The New Pulsare 2000 B/R revealed

Hey, the cupholder speaker combo is great. One thing to note, my pulsare 1850 transom lip is just like the one shown here, but from past experience one has to use caution when putting the motor in a trailer tow position or you could damage the glass by interference with the motor when in tow or...

    Fargo Checkmate Rigging

If you don't mind the trouble, rig it yourself. I bought a boat from Dave in December, just boat and trailer, and rigged it myself. This way you know what you are getting. OldSchool

I reset the engine to the highest mounting hole, it gave me about 5 vertical inches to the propshaft from the pad. I think this will be ok setup. OldSchool

    Jack plate clearance?

JW, thanks for the pics. It really helps to see a picture. This must be the common answer, because I can see a problem with either a hydraulic or dual cable setup. Thanks you for your help, Oldschool

    Jack plate clearance?

Has anyone had a problem with jack plate clearance when motor is titled full up while towing? While rigging my pulsare, I noticed that with the CMC 5.5 jack plate, that the dual cable steering bracket comes in contact with the back of the cmc plate. This usually happens when about half way...
