    If the cylinders look good, have them honed and rechecked for size and taper. Have block cleaned, make sure the galley plugs and cam bearings are removed before cleaning. The crank will need to be turned or at least polished. Depending on your budget, you may want to pick up a set of 5.7 rods...

    My Engine Is Out And In The Process Of Being Tweaked

    Have you thought about having a custom ground cam for your exact porpose? Marine Kninetics will do an excellent job for you, and it will not cost any more than a box cam will. Also for the tune try Mark Boos @ Precision Marine. I don't know how he does it, but he hits the tune dead on everytime...

    You are in the perfect situation to build a 383. I would check into either a Scat or Eagle rotating assembly. They even offer them allready balanced. My personal prefference would be the Eagle kit because they use Speed Pro pistons rather than the Keith Blacks in the Scat kits. Also use a one...

    last ride problems

    I would give serious consideration to converting your engine to a roller cam while you are having it rebuilt. You have probably wiped the flat cam out. This is a growing problem since most oils have reduced the amount of zinc in thier oils. Hope this helps you.

    4.3 stalls when shifted into gear ?

    You probably have a problem in the shift cable. You may need to clen and lube it, or repace it. It is probably setting off the safety switch. Hope this helps you.

    You need to have the shifter/throttle in the forward position.

    check the timing and distibutor to make sure the advance is working properly. also how old is the gas?
