Very nice and impressive boat but at that $$$.......it's not going to be sitting on the lot for a long, long time.

Fast94, I agree that Sipp's boat would be a LOT better buy!

I had a friend here on LKN that had a real nice low time 05-06ish 26 Outlaw w- a 600SCI and he sold it for low 60s last summer....that's all the market would bare (It was a nice boat but never did run very fast).

If that boat sells I'm listing mine the next day. I've seen a couple t/s top guns listed for the same price. Maybe his wife told him to put it for sale and this is his way of keeping it around

I'd say he's never heard the theory of depreciation.
I'm not sure on all the new model pricing but couldn't you get a new one for almost the same money?

It's been for sale a couple of years now, as i've said before i know this boat pretty well as it used to be a on my lake and the owner is from my area. I've talked with the owner a few times, nice guy, they sold their cottage a few years ago and want to sell the boat becuase it's to much of a pain to trailer back and forth every weekend. Last i knew he'd come down in price quite a bit, i see it's gone back up!! It is a nice boat, that 600 sounds awesome too!!

I figured the price was a bit crazy, but posted it here to learn if it was or not...It seems like a nice package, but dang...

A 2006 with the window in the deck?????

That is so 80's. It ruins the boat for me.

I guess I could over look it for the 600SCi, but not at that price!

Wow

I don't know about getting one new from the factory now. Thought they stopped (or were stopping) with the 270 line. Still based on the numbers on the site, it might cost LESS new. If this sells, i'll put mine up and order new from the factory too!

What would be a good price for that boat?. Just wondering.

2013 Convincor 270
Brand new with full warranty / 8.2 mag engine / bolt on swim platform / YOUR CHOICE OF COLORS & GRAPHICS
Checkmate Marine base price {msrp} = $88,000.
If you want to increase mota size and have a few more custom "add-ons" such as shore pwr / hydro steering / trim tabs, then your looking at being able to make a deal at around $110,000 {give or take}.
Pretty obvious the guy in NY is dreaming --- but you never know --- PT Barnum had it right :)

I did check the site, they have pulled the 270BR off the site as a separate boat. Not sure if that is just a branding issue or what. The add is definatly for a BR based on the pics though.

This is just rumor, but i've heard from a couple buddies of mine, who also know the owner, that the boat sold new for somewhere in the $170,000 range brand new. Again, don't know how true that is, but that 600sci is around, give or take, a $60,000+ option, add that to the $88,000 base price and add a ton of options to the boat and i believe you'd be looking at about $170 grand!

Would be pretty hard to convince me that the Convincor here in question was sold for {msrp} $170,000 in 2006, considering the base price was around {msrp} $74,000 at the time.
So, if it's true that the boat was $170,000 in 2006, then shame on him for turning a $74,000 boat into a $170,000 boat and then expecting an extreme market value to hold through 7 years.

My take on this boat is that it really is a beautiful Convincor WITH an awesome engine --- but I would realistically value it at around $80,000 {if it's in PERFECT condition}

I hear ya, makes sense, i was going by what was posted earlier of a 270 base MSRP of $88 grand, didn't realize that it would have a good $14 grand cheaper 6-7 years ago. Plus, rumors have a tendency to get exagerated sometimes. But, those Merc Racing engine don't come cheap, that's for sure, and the motor/outdrive package of the 600sci is a huge hit to the base MSRP, $60+ grand on a $75,000 boat! You're in the $130's right there before adding options. Realistically, i would believe after some deal making was done, $140,000 or so is probably what the boat would have sold for new, just a pure guess! Reading boat magazine tests, even the blue 525efi is a $45,000 upgrade over base. I honestly have no idea how Mercury, or buyers for that matter, justify the absurd prices of their engines, i can build a 525hp Mopar (much more expensive than a BB Chevy) for a hell of alot less than $45 grand!! I think you are right tho, $80,000 would be a fair price for the boat today, i know the boat is pretty much show room perfect!!
