06 Convincor 270 B/R - 600sci

Very nice boat. I really like the 270 BRs!

The owner has really come down on his price to a reasonable number, in my opinion. He was asking the moon..... The "90+ mph" claim seems high.

Good luck-

Keep spare XR drives handy. That torquey engine likes to eat em. For sure not 90. 80 consistantly probably with proper setup

Yup, sweet boat, it spent it's time on my 45 mph lake but i've seen it go a bit faster than that from time to time! But, the owners seemed to take good care of it, been a few years since i've seen it up close but it was nice and clean. That 600sci sounds good too! Can't confirm 90 mph personally, just the owner told me he's seen 90 with it before, maybe maybe not. It would be cool to see the boat go to a fellow forum member, good luck, hope you get it! I still miss having it around our lake tho, man i loved that boat!

my bet is it does it

Very nice boat. I run with an identical boat at our local lake except his has a 496. It runs 67 all day and 71 best. The 600 should push it low 80s I would think and at 115 hours is still very young. I would say 250 hours at least before any real maint. Issues would need to be addressed . A nice insurance policy would replace the drive occasionally.

I looked at an AT tantrum 25', 7'-8" beam that had a 600SCI. According to the owner it did 80 gps. From my quick review the weight should be similar so I'd guess high 70s low 80s. From my research the 600SCI suggested maintenance is around 300 hrs.

Guess he sold the cottage 2yrs ago and hasn't used the boat since.
Says he has always been a Checkmate Loyalist owning quite a few over the years. This was his last hoorah.

That setup will do fine on that boat, the guys who are blowing them up have either big tanks or super high x cats. I just bought a pair of xr's and had my drive guy go through them, he had a bravo side by side on the bench with one of mine everything is so much beefier on the xr's.

Yeah he is a Checkmate loyalist. I grew up in the same park his cottage was in before they sold, when i was a kid (in the 90's) he had a late 80's Convincor GTX with a twin turbo 454 in it, i was in love with that boat!! It said "Wild Thing" on the side of it. They like forced induction, the same family still has an old 70's V-drive with a twin turbo'd 454 in it as well that bounces around the lake from time to time. My parents sold our cottage in the park and then we went a few years off the lake before my parents moved up to better place, so i don't know what he had in between the GTX and 270 BR. When we got back on the lake he already had the 600sci Convincor, i stopped by a few time and talked with him, definatly was into Checkmates!!
