How do I find mercury part number referance for props? Found a prop that looks like it will work, have the part number. Cant find a referance to figure out for sure if it will fit. Boat has a 23p, will run 50 mph gps, but wont go over 5000 rpms. Trying to find a 21p for 84 115 top. Thanks

The splines on your prop shaft should be 15 . measure inside dia of the gear housing where the prop sits . actually measure your old prop that will give you your dimensions

I don't think you can get a 21p LaserII for the inline gearcase... Quicksilver only made the small hub props in even pitches as far as I know. I don't know what type of prop you're leaning toward, just something to keep in mind.

I bought a laser II 22p for my inline 115 verified the numbers on merc site under props. The guy selling it listed it as laser II fury vengence. those are three totaly different props. but numbers he gave checked out on merc site as laser II and now turnign 5400 at 60speedo and 57 gps once final set up on boat is done and more trials should be mid 60's with RPM higher maybe 56-5800

set up will also effect the rpm and speed i lowerd my motor 1/2" and lost both top end and RPM more drag in the water when that happend. slows down everything. May have a link to a laser II 131/2 20P dont think guy has sold it yet. let you know. But i would try different motor set ups first no money involved and you'd be surprised what you could gain for nothing.

I am leaning towards a 22p laser 2. Dont really want to spend that kind of money, but sounds like the best prop. Probably worth it, just a lot of money. Have bought three aluminum props and no success so..... Best is 23 pitch 50 gps at 5000 rpms. Dont remember where i was when posted but 21 pitch aluminum fell on its face hard, overevved with motor trimmed all the way down.:brickwall:

Yea, I don't think many people have luck with aluminum props. Here's something for thought... aluminum flexes more than SS, so your 23p is probably acting like a 22, maybe even a 21. I would give a 20p a try- based on my experience that'll be perfect. You really want to get your engine speed up!
