"Wanted" 1970's Checkmate round bucket seats

seats

I have a pair from my '80 Predictor. Vinyl totally shot but the cores and foam pretty good. Also the mount brackets. Free if you pick them up. If you think you're interested, let me know and I can take some pics. Metro Detroit area.

Sorry I totally forgot to reply to this. If you could post some pictures I could let you know if I'd be interested.

Thanks

the original vinyl has shrunk, from the sun likely. It had pulled nearly all the staples. Once I realized it couldn't be used as a pattern, I gave up. Vinyl could be used as a guide in recovering though. The stapling blocks had all rotted. I chiseled them out and recut them. I glassed them back into one of the seats before I gave up. The remaining blocks are shown loose on the other seat. The back and top of the seat is glassed. There's flaking on the bottom of the seats and it would need to be recoated. Foam is pretty good and may need just a little attention. For their age overall, not too bad, or I wouldn't have considered redoing them. Neglected to get pix of the seat cushions, they're intact and in pretty good shape. Here's a link to a zip file of the pictures:
