1971 MX-18 Fuel tank replacement....??

Hello All,
I have a 1971 Checkmate MX-18 and am in need of a new fuel tank. The old fuel tank has been removed and I have not been able to find what size or any dimensions that originally came with this boat... It is a under bow mounted fuel tank. All the original lines are still there. Just don't want to put something too big where it weighs the bow too much and don't want to little where i'm needing to fill up every hour... Any help is appreciated!!

I got a 25 gal. tank! Dimensions were near perfect, should fit right in! I also got the old transom out and new one bonded and waiting to go in!! Should have Transom, floor and tank all glassed in this weekend!! Praying for good weather!!
